"STRETCH OUT AND WAIT"

My BFF gave me this incredible recipe today that I had to try out pronto, so my kitchen is currently filled with the scent of garlic, olive oil, yeast and basil as a dough ball rises on my stove. Something about making bready things and letting dough rise is so tremendously satisfying to me. Especially when the basil is off of my very own basil plant. Especially when I am busy. Like today. I am sitting with my laptop on my kitchen table, with the windows open. That's sort of like hanging out outside, right? Suuure it is.

Right now, i feel like I have so much to do that I don't know what to do first. But it'l all come together. It always does.

And, speaking of coming together! I had no idea the new reading series that I'm hosting starting in June would go gangbusters, but sheesh! Was I really just discussing as far out as October? Indeed. Isn't that great? Isn't is nice when things come together without a bunch of fuss? I think so.

Today is pretty good, I have to say.

I love baking bready things, too. it reminds me of helen... such a cozy scent.

mazel tov on the reading series!! it's beyond exciting. you'll be booked well into next year in 5 seconds flat. I can feel it in my bones.
