"SUEDEHEAD"

I have another piece up at Six Sentences today. I just love that site, don't you?

So, I had a fairly low-key day. Stood on a beach, rode crew on a fancy tugboat, got a little sun, cooked dinner for my folks. Oh, I did toodle around town in their car (which is enormous), looking at oceanfront homes, and was forced to remember that even if I had piles of money, I could never bring myself to do anything ostentatious. A nice house on the beach is one thing, eight luxury cars in the driveway is quite another.

Anyway, everything is fine here. All of this sunshine and water is making me really eager to sign up for SCUBA classes... that's about all I really know for today.

I have always wanted to know when one Toodles do you have to drive fast or slow.

To me, to toddle is to amble along leisurely. In the case of my adventures in the land barge yesterday, it was especially cautious and slow.

"Land Barge"--ha ha ha ha ha!!
I love the phrase "Toodle around." To me, it is a slightly faster pace than puttering, but still leisurely. :)

It sounds as if you are having a lovely vacation! I'm shocked though that you think 8 fancy cars is too many. In Basura that's just middle class. I mean, myself, I think I need at least ten. And they all have to be SUVs.
