- Forch: (Downtown) Omaha Lit Fest is only about a month away! I'll be there, as usual, with bells on.

- Forch by way of unforch: Hang on, this part is really serious. My way, way, way, decades-younger cousin (she's two and a half) is faring well post-surgery, but is at St. Jude's Childrens' Hospital and will start chemotherapy soon. I can't do much but write words and run races, so I'm running the St. Jude's Half-Marathon on December 6th. Please consider making a donation; St. Jude's never turns a sick child away, regardless of the family's ability to pay for treatment, and to continue their work for sick children like her, every penny counts.

Oh, warm thoughts to the tiny one. I'll send you some dough when it gets a little closer. Even briefly pondered joining the race, but am not sure I'd be up to half-marathon by December...
