Are manners dying out?
There is a difference between being straightforward in stating one's goal or intention and being mean. There is a difference between discussing and arguing. There is a difference between being kind and being a doormat. If one is sure of what they believe, they can discuss, even disagree, without tantrum.

But I've seen a lot of this on the blogosphere lately, and it makes me crazy. Discussion degenerates into personal attacks and name-calling sooo quickly. It kills me everytime. :(
Manners are totally dying out. People don't even say thank you anymore! And why is it that sometimes people say, "I was JUST being honest." when really they are being an ASSHOLE.
I couldn't agree with you more. I think manners and decency have been cast aside. I've noticed a lot more passive aggressiveness in people of late and downright rudeness.
