"LAST NIGHT I DREAMT...", PART II

Today is off to a surreal start. Posts and posts ago, I included a YouTube.com clip from the Benny Hill show. I sat down at my desk this morning to find it posted not once but twice at the top of my blog overnight. Weird.

Anyway, I had more nightmares last night. And, again it featured a car accident.

In this dream, I was hanging out at a friend's house, though this wasn't his actual house, this was like a refinished barn, with almost everything in white. I decided to nap on his bed, as he wasn't there, and his mother and aunt came over (I've not actually met anyone from his family), who I seemed to know and be close to, and I began to show them all of this artwork he had recently done. His mother said, "But he's not a painter!" and I told her that I didn't think so either, but that he had recently taken it up and that I had seen him out in the yard painting. So, then I walk out of the house, and I, apparently, lived across a field from him in a rural area. So, I go home, then I go to a Native American museum of some sort and seemed to be a curator or researcher of some kind and friendly with everyone who worked there. I was helping two Native American women set up some artifacts in glass cases and my friend came in and asked if I wanted to go hiking. I said yes and we immediately left, accompanied by the two women, although we were all in business suits. So, we start hiking and immediately reach a large highway, and as we look across it, the museum had jumped ahead of us and now was on the other side of the road in front of us. So, we all laugh about this and decide that it means we should go back to work. The women suddenly disappear and reappear on the opposite side with a police officer, only he was in a police uniform and had tribal necklaces and long braided hair in three braids. The three were laughing and joking and trying to dare us to run across. I hesitated, my friend lifted me up to sit on his left shoulder and crossed half of the highway. I felt uneasy and asked him to put me down and let me cross the second half on my own but he refused and I began to feel panic and the sense that I had to get down right away, but he insisted I was just too inhibited for my own good. Just as he said this, a blue car jumped into the median and hit us, throwing me forward and cutting off his legs. I saw his legs in the street but couldn't see him and was immediately in the museum with the police officer and the two women, who told me to wait near the front desk, which I did. I stood there and talked with the front desk employees and they treated the accident so lightly that I assumed my friend was okay. Suddenly the woman behind the front desk said, "It's a shame, he just started to paint." And, I realized he was dead and began to cry and walked to his house to figure out how to call his mother back over to tell her he was dead.

And, I woke up.

Strangely, I had a dream almost a week ago about a friend's father, also who I have never met and the car accident dream last night featured the aunt, uncle and grandmother of another friend. I wonder what is going on?

Anyone want to take a stab at a little dream interpretation? I had no clue what to look up in my trusty dream dictionary.

I dunno, I'm usually pretty good at this. I've read it a couple times over and still can't piece it out...
I did see the Benny Hill videos last night, and I was like, what the heck?? Ha.
